I backup your save, replace the battery with a 2016 battery holder, so you can just replace the battery in the future, no soldering required. I restore your save and send it back.
**Due to size constraints with GBA games, the battery holder must be a 2016 size, which is smaller, both physically and in capacity, than the standard GBA battery, 2032. But it's still a tight fit. Generally the battery hold option is best for GB and GBC games.
